Dear Burtonsville Baptist Church Family:
Since the Covid-19 shutdown ended, we have continued to offer our livestream in order to allow our members to observe our weekly services, even when they were unable to gather with us due to a variety of circumstances.
Our church has always had a shut-in population of elderly members who cannot drive and, periodically, we have had members suffering from long-term illness or recovering from injury who access the livestream out of necessity. Beginning
January 5, 2025, our public livestream will transition to a private Zoom meeting link provided to them by our Deacon of Worship Support.
We will continue to record and post the sermon to our
website and
app for review, further study, and sharing. The audio-visual team normally has this published to our website and app every Sunday by 3pm.
To ensure we're serving our members and not hindering them from honoring the biblical mandate to gather together for worship, we ask two things of those wishing to access the shut-in Zoom meeting:
- Please have no other way to fulfil your responsibility to assemble with other believers. While on vacation or business, seek out a local body and encourage them by joining them in worship and Bible study.
- Request (for yourself or someone for whom you support) the private Zoom link from the church. You may use the Contact form on our website, or contact our Deacon of Worship Support, Frank Ramage.
Please note: Our Deacon of Worship Support will forward all requests for exceptions to the Elders.
Finally, this decision to transition to a shut-in service has been prayerfully considered at length and enacted by our Elders who shepherd the BBC family. You’re encouraged to discuss this decision with them.
