What ministries do you have for my children?
We strive to provide quality, meaningful ministries for every member of the family – infant to adult. Nursery service is provided in a clean, safe environment for infants and toddlers (birth to 2 years old) at every worship service, as well as a safe, fun worship experience for children ages 2-5. Children from kindergarten to fifth grade travel gather downstairs during our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings for teaching suited just for them. Teenagers 6th to 12th grade gather on Sunday nights for Bible study, friendship, and fun.
What should I expect during a typical worship gathering?
During our worship gathering, we believe simplicity is best. After reading a passage of Scripture and responding in prayer, we will corporately sing together, both contemporary and traditional songs, as our worship team leads. During the middle of our singing, we will occasionally pause to reflect upon the gospel’s sufficiency through a corporate prayer of confession. After singing some more, we will give back an offering to the Lord, and then hear a 40-45 minute sermon from Pastor Justin. Lastly, we close out our gathering with a song of praise.
What should I wear?
You are free to wear whatever you believe is comfortable and appropriate for a worship gathering. Some members of our church will wear a suit and tie while others will come in a t-shirt and jeans. In both situations, we believe Scripture calls us to place a greater emphasis on preparing our hearts for worship than our attire.
Are you affiliated with a denomination?
We are affiliated nationally with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), regionally with the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware (BCMD), and locally with the Montgomery Baptist Association (MBA).
What do you believe?
The best way to learn about our core beliefs is to look over our church’s Statement of Faith.
How can I become a member of BBC?
We believe that membership in a local church is biblical and important. Membership in our church is open to every baptized Christian who gives evidence of the gospel’s transforming power and who agrees with our church covenant and statement of faith. The simple process for joining BBC is outlined here.
