Justin Runyan – Pastor
Justin came to pastor BBC in April 2009. Justin has a passion for God and His Word. He is also extremely excited about global missions and BBC’s growing desire to reach the unreached with the gospel of Christ. Originally from Lebanon, Ohio, Justin and his wife Lauren are excited to now call Maryland home.
Justin graduated from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana with a B.A. in Biblical Studies in 2004. Following his graduation, he began studying at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, graduating with his Masters of Divinity in 2008. Currently, Justin is pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Justin has been in ministry since 2002 in churches throughout Indiana, Kentucky, and Maryland.
Justin and Lauren were married in 2005. They have four beautiful children: Luke, Audra, Caleb, and Malia.
Justin loves to read and write. He enjoys exercising, and he is also a devoted Ohio State football fan.
Jeremy Dawkins – Elder
Jeremy is a graduate of North Carolina A&T (B.S.), Georgia Tech (M.S.), and Auburn University (Ph.D.) with degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He is an associate professor in the Weapons & Systems Engineering Department at the United States Naval Academy. Jeremy and Shanee are the proud parents of Daniel
Jeff Girdler – Elder
Jeff is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He has served as interim pastor at three churches throughout Maryland while providing pulpit supply at numerous others. Jeff is retired from the 30 years in the US Navy. He and his wife Barbara have celebrated 48 years of marriage, and he is proudly a grandfather.
Daniel Cross – Worship Ministry Leader
Daniel has been leading praise and worship since the age of 16. He came to BBC to serve as an interim worship leader for two months in July 2016. After spending two months at BBC, Daniel had a strong desire to stay at BBC to grow deeper in his faith through God's Word, to be part of the loving community, and to serve the congregation through music.
Daniel Graduated from the University of Maryland in Baltimore County with B.A. in sociology in 2012. Following his graduation, he moved to Fort Worth Texas for two years to pursue a Master of Divinity and to serve as a youth minister.
Daniel loves to watch Orioles baseball. He also enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts and wants to compete in national and international competitions in the near future.
